Diana Boylston - campaign statement

   I’m Diana Boylston and I’m running for NATIONAL BOARD MEMBER representing our New Orleans Local. 

   If you’re one of our members who did not vote in our last election, please open the paper ballot this week and let me tell you why I’m asking for your VOTE. 

          I KEEP STANDING UP FOR YOU. I AM UNION. 

    I’ve walked picket lines previously  because I've experienced working a contract that doesn’t fairly pay or protect the rank-and-file working folks.

   Our union is striking because our industry’s contract must protect our future jobs and health benefits.

   My volunteer years of service to Legacy AFTRA and SAG’S STEERING COMMITTEE goes back to creating the first New Orleans Local Women’s Committee, which highlighted the industry’s difference in the treatment of women and planted seeds for the “Me Too” movement.

   My background and experience as a Local Board Member, Secretary, Vice-President and years as local President alone, uniquely qualifies me for this position.

   I’ve talked with many of you and I know your concerns.
